PROJECT TEAMS
The ultimate goal of our projects is to develop the perfect software product for our customers. To ensure this, a variety of skills and roles are used in the project. Depending on the skills required, a product team may consist of several software developers, UX designers, a solution architect, a scrum master and a technical product owner who acts as a counterpart to the customer's PO. Delivery Management is responsible for project organisation and stakeholder management.
Working on site or with the customer
From time to time, we visit our customers on site. This always happens as a team and can be the case from initial personal meetings to individual workshops or sprint changes. Since our customers are usually commuting by day, you'll be back home in the evening. However, much of the day-to-day project business and collaboration is now done remotely and therefore requires no on-site work.
Collaboration within project teams
With us, you work in self-organized, interdisciplinary project teams and closely with customers. Joint brainstorming, daily exchange and discussions are important components of our project success. Each individual team member forms the collaboration and makes a significant contribution to the success of the project. We pull together.

We do this by using agile methods. These encourage collaboration and regular coordination between you and your team members and stakeholders to ensure that everyone has a common understanding of the product and project goals. By uncovering and removing potential ambiguities, you as a team can work faster and more effectively to satisfy both our customers and their users.
Our collaborative planning with the customer places a strong emphasis on adaptability. Plans are iteratively reviewed, detailed and adjusted - always with an eye on the market.
Roles in project teams
As a software developer, what kind of role do you play in the projects?
Your focus will be on a project. Our projects typically last from 6 months to 2 years, but there are also long-term projects. Together with your team, you will be responsible for the specification, architecture, development and testing of applications.
In short: Your expertise will be instrumental in turning an idea into great software.
As a UX/UI Designer, what role do you play in the projects?
Your ideas and knowledge are needed right from the start. In your role as a UX/UI Designer, you will ensure that the software is tailored to the needs of the user. With us, you can take responsibility for the UX of a project as a whole. As an integral part of the product team, you will be involved from day one and support the product through to delivery. You will work closely with product owners, software developers, customer technical experts and end users.
In short: You are responsible for turning the software into a solution. You bring your designs to life using common prototyping tools.
What is your role as a Scrum Master in the projects?
In your role, you will lead and supervise one or more development teams, depending on their size. You will guide and help the team to effectively use the methods and practices of the Scrum framework. With your agile mindset, you will ensure the smooth running of the project and support the team in their daily work. You will model agile values and coach your teams in self-organisation and cross-functional teamwork.
In short: You will ensure the project runs smoothly and support the development teams — all with an agile mindset.
What is your role as a Product Owner in the projects?
As a Product Owner, you will take on a responsible position within our project organisation. You will work closely with customers, Scrum Masters and the development team. Together with the customer, you will develop a product vision and drive issues such as roadmap and release management. You will also be responsible for requirements engineering.
In short: You provide holistic advice to our customers and make the project a success.

EDUCATION: CLEAN CODE DEVELOPMENT FROM THE START
Basic Clean Code Developer Training
You will receive your basic Clean Code Developer training from our experienced in-house Clean Code trainers Thomas, Felix and Thomas, who have been personally trained by Clean Code mastermind Stefan Lieser. They will teach you the value system and associated principles and practices of the Clean Code Development Initiative right from the start. You will continuously learn how to develop clean code and apply the practices and mindset in your everyday life.

We invest in your skills. Our aim is to support and develop your individual professional and personal skills. We also believe that successful knowledge transfer within the team plays a very important role. This is why we have set up the generic.de academy as an internal training facility.
