Since the end of last year, we have been a member of the German Chapter of the International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners (IAMCP). It is an independent association of globally active Microsoft partners of a wide variety of backgrounds. It is precisely this wide variety of partners in the association that makes IAMCP so interesting for us. Because the more complex the topic of software development becomes, the more popular is well-connected and diverse specialist know-how. And the IAMCP offers just that: niche expertise in a strong network.
The top priority is networking among members and building a strong community. Understandably, after all, the topic of holistic customer service is becoming increasingly relevant, especially in the IT sector. And as a result, it is becoming increasingly important for us as a software company to have suitable and trusted partners ready. Because this is the only way we can conscientiously offer the services that we do not have in our standard portfolio.
In addition to actual networking, the IAMCP offers very good potential for knowledge transfer between members. Through working groups and hands-on workshops, including with Microsoft employees as well as external speakers and trainers, we can learn from each other and benefit from each other's competencies and know-how. The respective topics of the working groups are determined by us members ourselves.
The IAMCP attaches great importance to an open and constructive exchange with Microsoft management and can therefore represent the interests of its members in a bundled manner. But it is not only with Microsoft that we have more clout as a cohesive interest group. Even on a political level in Brussels or Washington, we are many times stronger together than we could ever be individually.
The German Chapter of IAMCP has existed as a registered association since 1994 and, with over 200 members, is one of the largest of the IAMCP. In addition to sole proprietorships, the majority of the volunteer members include medium-sized companies from all sectors. Since the members are evenly spread across Germany, working groups and workshops can be organized in almost every region.
